Post Separation Recovery Program

(First Half of Year Schedule)

A  seven week self-help program/workshop for men and women who have been separated or divorced. Through input, personal reflection and small group sharing the opportunity is provided for participants to deal with their losses and work towards creating a new beginning in their lives.

Bereavement Support Program - Blacktown

An Information and Discussion Program for men and women whose spouse or partner has died. Support and guidance is offered through a process of input, small group sharing and personal reflection.

 Seasons for Growth: Bereavement Program

(First Half of Year Schedule)

A five week program for men and women whose partner or spouse has died. Each session includes input, personal reflection, activities and small group sharing. Particpants are offered information on the tasks of the grieving process and tools to assist in effectively working through their grief.

 Stepping Beyond: Post-Separation Support

A monthly gathering for men and women who are separated or divorced.  Facilitated  group interaction to address issues that arise as a result of changed life circumstances and ongoing family adjustments.  Emphasis on personal awareness and self development.

 Focus  Questions

How well are you stepping beyond?	What is stopping you from stepping beyond?
What do you want to step beyond?	What have you learnt as you keep stepping beyond?
What are you currently stepping beyond?

Stepping Beyond: Post-Separation Support

Prayer and Reflection Day

A day to be alone with the Lord in a peaceful environment.  Assistance provided with guided meditations, Scripture readings and prayer methods.  Open to all adults.

Annulment Information Night 

An Information session on the process of Annulments in the Catholic Church.

Topics include:

Presenter: Ms Paula Kerr, Director of the Parramatta Diocesan Tribunal Office.

Dealing With the Legal System

An Information session to better understand the legal and court systems, how best to work with Solicitors and Barristers and how to protect family assets.  

Presenter: Mr Richard Brading, Principal Solicitor at Wesley Community Legal Service, Macquarie St Sydney.

Understanding Family Law  

An Information session to better understand how the Family Law Court works; how the Court determines what is in the best interest of the children; children’s attachment needs; children's safety; children’s right to a relationship with both parents; risk of harm to the children and carers.    

Presenter: Ms Bernadette Devine, Family Consultant to Family Law Courts Parramatta Registry. 

Managing Family Finances

A Seminar that covers topics such as working with a money plan, ways to make budgeting less difficult, looking at options to deal with debt, negotiating with creditors and where to go for financial help.
